Join us on our computer fitness challenge!!!!!!!

So, we know that you own some kind of a computing device or you wouldn’t be reading this blog post. We also know that you probably chew up precious hours cruising the internet either at home or at work. We are also going to guess that, because you own a computing device and sit in front of it quite frequently you perhaps aren’t getting the exercise that you used to. Are we right? Yea, us to. However, we can change that.

This is what we plan to do. My wife (and wonderful co-host) of Healthy Tech Talk and I are planning to get off of the couch, watch less TV and be much more active. We will begin this wonderful new exercise program within the next couple of days and will blog about it so we can share with you how we are doing. Computer users are at a real disadvantage because they really do live a mostly sedentary lifestyle. We think that the only exercise worth doing is the one that you will actually do, and that means that one that is the most fun and doesn’t cost anything.

I have a bit of a paunch and need to lose about 10 pounds. My wife is losing weight on the Sure Slim plan and, while she is pleased with her weight loss, she wants to firm up, tone up and shape up certain areas of her body, so the challenge is on. Hey, we don’t want to do this kind of stuff alone. Why don’t you join us, get active and share your fitness secrets with us as well?

We have a machine downstairs called an elliptical trainer. We bought it about six months ago and have barely used it. We are ashamed. Now we need to put our money where our mouths are. Lets call it Rick and Pats tech fitness plan. We will set aside a little part of our blog to record in text, video and podcasts. We will include food, herbs and healthy lifestyle choices from a variety of sources. We are looking forward to getting started and sharing the results. Regards, Rick and Pat.
