Home is where your blog is
If your a blogger, then your more of a communicator than a introvert. You take great delight in designing, forming and creating your content. Then, you push a button and viola, your thoughts dreams, aspirations and ramblings are displayed for anyone with an internet connection. Let’s face it, this is a great way to live. You express, focus, play and poke fun at things that irritate you. Thats fair. It’s your blog. It’s your piece of the digital universe. You put your heart into this.
As I peruse different webs sites and blogs for content, its extremely interesting to see other bloggers styles and the way they influence the readers minds and hearts. It is now the end of November for us, and my lovely wife and myself are getting ready to put up the LED lights on the house, go up into the attic and get down the fake Christmas tree, tidy up the house for the inevitable onslaught of company that we are about to enjoy and in all of the hectic activities, we will try to get into the Christmas mood. This year it seems, my Christmas mood is arriving late. In our neighborhood we saw some folks putting up their outside Christmas lights in the middle of November, and then one week later, you could actually see a fully decorated Christmas tree in their window.
Experts suggest that if you own a blog, you really should be posting at least twice per day. I’ll bet that the majority of bloggers have other jobs, most of them full time. Posting twice per day can be a stretch on not only your time, but could be stressful. Here is a suggestion that I have used many times in order to ‘mine’ information for blog posts. Here is what I do. I always carry a piece of paper and a pen with me no matter where I go. During the course of the day, (experts say we have over 50,000 individual thoughts per day) if I think of an idea, I wright it down right away to ensure that the thought I just had will not be lost forever.
Oh yes, and don’t forget Google Reader. I have found it to be a very good source of news articles and information. When you get home from your other activities, you at least have several suggestions that you can chase and put out some hopefully meaningful information. More to come later, I am off performing my other activities and duties. Regards, Rick.
