We will soon be broadcasting from our living room. Huh? (see video’s here)
In one of our last video podcasts, I had mentioned that I was putting together a special home theater computer that is going to be hooked up to our Plasma television. It has all of the latest technology, Antec fusion remote black case, a Terra-byte hard drive, Intel Core i7 920 Quad Core Processor running at 2.66 GHZ, 12 Gigs of DDR3 Tripple Channel ram, ASUS Rampage II Crossfire motherboard, Zalman CPU cooler running Windows 7 Pro. Oh, almost forgot. A 750 watt corsair power supply. I found a product that was a little overkill, and I just couldn’t resist. Take a look at this. It’s a cooling radiator from Zalman for those ‘hot’ running PC’s. You would have to have a small super computer in order to need this toy! If you liked that, get a load of the Zalman Ram Coolers. This is actually, a fantastic idea.
As I was going through the list of parts, and talking with the tech at the computer parts store, I had a great idea. I realized that I wasn’t really building a home theater computer, I was really building a powerful secondary computer for my broadcast studio. This concept hit me like a lightning bolt. Now, we have not one, but two locations in which to podcast from. We can use the broadcast studio and the newest location in our living room. This could be tons of fun. I will put up a video for you soon to show you how I have put this together. Imagine being able to podcast whenever the idea moves you as your sitting in your living room watching television, or the latest video podcasts on the internet.
All I need to do is hook up my Blue Snowball USB microphone, connect up my web cam and ‘let the podcasts begin’. To be honest, we were supposed to start a weekly podcast show a few months ago, but life got pretty hectic for us and we had to plod along until we could free up some time. Christmas is upon us and now we have a ‘wind down’ period where we can devote some quality time to you, our audience.
We look forward to spending many hours with you in the future bringing you some exceptional content, educational tidbits and lots of laughs along the way as well. Join us and we promise that you wont be disappointed. Regards, Rick and Pat.

My brother would fall in love this blog post. We were just discussing about this. lol
